Nonprofits typically understand that they need to fundraise to survive. What many don’t fully appreciate or practice is that it often takes marketing to help them thrive. Fundraising represents an organization’s ground troops and is fundamental to getting support. When fundraising efforts are supported with an air force provided by marketing, one that increases awareness and preference, that’s when organizations achieve exponential and sustainable growth.

DOING MORE GOOD IS GOOD FOR EVERYBODY
Before turning his attention to nonprofit content and educational resource endeavors, Bill McKendry had an incredibly successful marketing and advertising career helping both nonprofit and for-profit clients. Many of the world’s best-known brands have sought and benefitted from his direction and ideas.
Bill’s creative business leadership and entrepreneurial nature has been the catalyst behind his thought leadership on ways the nonprofit community can grow its voice and influence to compete better for people’s discretionary time, attention and resources. In his mind and approach, the world is better when materialism and consumerism is counterbalanced with service and support for people and things who need protection and help. Bill built a practice, a company, a reputation and a lot of content as somebody who considers the voices of charity, faith and humankindness need to be seen as important as anything else offered in the marketplace.
Bill and Do More Good are supported exclusively by his partnership in entrepreneurial ventures (i.e., proceeds from book sales, event ticket sales, sponsorships and licensing are used simply to cover costs). Bill believes it’s not just good business to support Do More Good’s efforts, it’s in the DNA of every business he’s ever started or helped to manage. As such, Bill and Do More Good don’t just have a good history, we’ve got a powerful platform to help so many others to do more good.
WHAT’S COMING NEXT
We’re going to keep being thought leaders and advocates for nonprofits to own their own voice and take up more attention and marketshare. As such, we’re very excited to keep adding more tools and resources in the coming years.
Soon you and many others can become ‘certifiably good’ by taking micro certification courses through an accredited college program. Topics on how to do and be more good in every aspect of your business or organization will be offered for both non- and for-profit professionals seeking to grow and/or sharpen their knowledge and skills.
