Tip#17: Dazzle First-Time Donors

Whether compelled by a match, an incredible story, or, a little peer pressure, they’ve arrived and supported your cause for the first time. Now what? Now it’s time to dazzle and delight. Supporters who give on #GivingTuesday are statistically more likely to give again, and they’re four times more likely to develop their own peer campaign for your cause. This is not the time for auto-issued receipts. With whatever capacity you can muster, take the extra step to get personal with your acknowledgment and gratitude, i.e. personal email, call from volunteer or board member, or write a note.
